I must agree that there are definitely a lot of great singers awaiting to be discovered to be on lime lights. That is the reason why there are a lot of singing contest from barangay level up to the national televisions. The Voice is definitely yet again an avenue for most Filipinos to try their luck and have their own spot in the lime light.
Let's get to know the FINAL 4...

TEAM LEA
NAME: MICHAEL “MITOY” YONTING
ORIGIN: PANGASINAN/ SAMPALOC MANILA
BIRTHDAY: JANUARY 5, 1970
AGE: 43
OCCUPATION: BAND SINGER
LIFESTORY & MUSICAL BACKGROUND:
Mitoy discovered his passion for music at an early age. Like most artists, he actively pursued a career in the industry but luck gave him half-a-wish. The young Mitoy back then had joined various televised talent searches that lead to various tv appearances. He even earned a slot at a noontime show as a comedian-singer, but sadly, his career did not reach a full throttle.
To raise a family, Mitoy went to Japan and other countries to work as a band singer. Later on, he came home and went to play his for his kababayans. Today, Mitoy is with the band “The Draybers” where he plays regularly at Resort’s World Manila. Because of his exposure to different and various races, Mitoy and his band learned to speak little and sing foreign songs/languages.
Mitoy joined TVOP to relieve youthful dreams, make a career and maybe win an awesome trophy.
TEAM BAMBOO
NAME: DON MICHAEL PEREZ
ORIGIN: PUERTO PRINCESA, PALAWAN
BIRTHDAY: NOVEMBER 18, 1990
AGE: 22
OCCUPATION: FREELANCE SINGER
LIFESTORY & MUSICAL BACKGROUND:
Don Michael had big dreams of becoming a singer-musician. Armed with a unique tone and guitar skills, he took up Conservatory of Music in UST.
In the middle college, the family received a life altering news- his mom is suffering from cancer. To save money for his mother’s treatment, the young musician voluntarily gave up the course he dreamt of, went home to Palawan and took another course.
The young lad’s mother passed away, but his dreams didn’t. He gives his dream another shot here in TVOP, to make his mum proud in heaven.
Team Sarah
NAME: KLARISSE DE GUZMAN
ORIGIN:MAKATI CITY
BIRTHDAY: SEPTEMBER 6, 1991
AGE:21
OCCUPATION: COLLEGE STUDENT (MUSIC PRODUCTION)
LIFE AND MUSICAL BACKGROUND:
Klarrise or "Klang" once competed with her Coach, Sarah Geronimo, back when they were barely on their teens. After she lost at the Semi-Finals and a few more competitions, Klarisse placed her dreams of becoming a singing phenomenon at the back of her mind and concentrated on her studies.
She may have left music at the backseat but this passion was not easy to escape from. Now that She is in College, she decided not to be "just a singer" but to be a well rounded artist. She is now taking up Music Production at College of St. Benilde.
On the side, Klarisse also performs occasionally as a band singer.
Team Apl
NAME: JANICE JAVIER
ORIGIN: MANDALUYONG
BIRTHDAY: MARCH 17, 1975
AGE: 38
OCCUPATION: OFW BAND SINGER IN BANGKOK, THAILAND
LIFESTORY & MUSICAL BACKGROUND:
Before she became one of the favourite foreign singers in Thailand, Janice had always felt inferior, intimidated by other singers because of her weight. When most bands had their singers sing and dance during performances, Janice would sit on the stairs and sing. She soon realized that being fear, feeling inferior or being easily intimidated got her nowhere. So Janice decided feeling good and proud of herself, joined every choreographed performances and production her time could afford.
The stronger-fiercer Janice was able to do a lot since then. She travelled Asia to perform as a singer. She was able to do front acts for Filipino artists like True Faith, Jessica Zaragosa and Dingong Avanzano. This four-chair-turner was alos able to perform with Bangkok’s top artists, Thailand’s biggest concert venues. She was able to perform on-Thai TV, represent the Philippines in Jazz Festivals outside the Philippines.
The person who inspired Janice to join TVOP is one of her closest local Thai friend, (name), who happens to be The Voice of Thailand’s Grand Winner.
So who will it gonna be among these 4 lovely and very talented singers.
Here's my fearless forecast:
All of them deserves to win the said competition. However, the battle in the end would be between Mitoy and Janice. Both has their own fans who are power voters. Both has their own experience to share in the music industry. However, it is Janice edge to win the competition if her fans in Thailand would vote and download her songs in i-tunes then she might take home the first ever trophy of The Voice of the Philippines. Otherwise, it will be Mitoy's limelight next week.

I believe that it would be Janice and Mitoy facing the Top 2. |
