And the crown goes to Miss USA

Miss Universe 2012 is making some noise in virtual world. Some would expressed their outright comments to Miss Universe 2012 winner Miss USA Olivia Culpo. Miss USA now Miss Universe Olivia Culpo is a sophomore at Boston University.

The newly crowned Miss Universe was asked “What is something that you have done, that you will never do again?”

Culpo briskly answered: “First I’d like to start off by saying that every experience, no matter what it is, good or bad, you’ll learn from it. That’s just life. But something I’ve done that I’ve probably regretted would be picking on my siblings growing up because you appreciate them so much more when you’re older; you get closer with your family. Everybody fights with their siblings, right?! But I don’t regret it.”

Alongside Culpo’s competition is Miss Philippines bet Janine Tugonon who confidently answered a twitter question read by Nigel Barker: “As an international ambassador, do you believe that speaking English should be a prerequisite to being Miss Universe? Why or why not?”

Tugonon answered, “For me, being Miss Universe is not just about knowing how to speak a specific language. It’s being able to influence and inspire other people. As long as your heart wants to serve and you have a strong mind to show to people, then you can be Miss Universe.”

This year’s Miss Universe 2012 panel of judges includes: singer Cee Lo Green, San Francisco Giants player Pablo Sandoval, “Iron Chef” star Masaharu Morimoto and U.S. Olympic beach volleyball gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings, former Americas Next Top Model Judge Nigel Barker amongst others.

Personally, I thought that Miss Philippines would never make it to the Top 10 but after seeing her perform in the swim suit and long gown competition I corrected myself and told my friend she will make it to the top 5 and most probably land on either 2nd runner up or 1st runner up on the Miss Universe most coveted crown. However, my views had changed when she confidently answered the questions thrown to her I really thought finally Miss Philippines brings home the said Miss Universe Crown.

Disappointed with the result of the Miss Universe 2012 as I have expected Miss USA would be on the 4th runner up. It is what it is as they say. It is Miss USA’s time to bring home the most sought after Miss Universe Crown. There is no greater force than TIME. I believe that even though you have the most powerful smile, a winning and striking pose, a most remembered CATWALK and the most convincing answer if it is not yet your time you won’t win the grand prize. Just like Miss Venezuela, it was their time to be the first country who can win a back to back Miss Universe title.

Miss Gloria still stunning.

As Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz had said in an interview “what's more important is what she intends to do after the international competition.”

Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz is true. Being in the top 10 would already earn you a spot to be known worldwide. It is how a candidate would capitalize on the free exposure.

Here’s the complete list of Miss Universe 2012 Winners:

4TH RUNNER UP: Ms BRAZIL
3RD RUNNER UP: Ms. AUSTRALIA
2nd RUNNER UP: Ms. VENEZUELA
1st RUNNER UP: Ms. PHILIPPINES
MS. UNIVERSE 2012: Ms. USA

Congratulation to Miss USA Olivia Culpo you deserve your time to be the Miss Universe 2012 and to Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon for landing the 1st Runner Up.

Reaction... Let me know...

Till Next Year… Watch out for Miss Universe 2013… Who would it be? Will Miss Philippines this time brings home the Miss Universe 2013 crown? Will it be a Latina? An Asian maybe? A European? Will it be brown? White? Yellow? Black? Let’s find out who has its time!
