The Mount Pulag Expedition

If you are planning to do mountaineering I am totally suggesting you try Mount Pulag. Since Mount Pulag is the second highest mountain in the Philippines please expect that temperature there could go to as low as -5 degrees Celsius.

Also, please make sure to listen to your tour guide.

To preserve the beauty of the place here are some rules that we need to follow:

  1. Bring thick clothes and appropriate camping gear.
  2. Do not pick wild flowers, bonsai plants, or even animals that you see around the mountain. It is great to see these wonders of nature but they are only as good for taking picture and not bringing them home.
  3. Bring back your garbages. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GARBAGE IN THE MOUNTAIN. I also suggest that we don't burn our garbages in the mountain.
  4. Be a responsible back packers.

Save The Majestic Mount Pulag

The farms are now slowly creeping up the majestic Mount Pulag. Farmers are slowly taking over the said paradise. It is good that we have farmers who tills the land so we could have vegetable on our table. It also means an economic stability to our farmer.

I hope that we spare this mountain from the kaingin and farming to provide habitat to our trees, flowers, and animals.

HELP SAVE MOUNT PULAG! STOP EXCESSIVE FARMING!!!!!!

The Majestic Mount Pulag

The beauty of the Philippines lies on the beautiful natural resources. The Philippines scenic and crystal clear sea water of its majestic beaches to the proud and powerful mountains of the north.

It is my long time dream to travel to the second highest mountain in the Philippines, "Mount Pulag" but due to time constraint and luck of resources it remains to be a dream.

Luckily, my Uncle Robert of Department of Agriculture, Cordillera shared his photos in their trip to the said mountain.

I am still a mega fan of green vegetation of our vast and wonderful mountains. It is the heart and lungs of the Philippine society. It is the backbone of the Filipinos.

Lepanto National High School Graduation 2012 (part 4)

When we are having breakfast and since we are already teasing each other. They all agreed that we go swimming.

So we asked our cousin's Jeepney so we could use it going to Cervantes Ilocos Sur. Our nearest swimming destination. It is approximately 2 hours. Waahhh!!! its been so long since I revisited this place.

So everyone is actually excited. In fact after we announced that we go swimming the kids are gone in 1 minute. When asked, they all went home to grab their readily prepared swim wears....

So, off we go to Cervantes. The teenagers including myself went at the top or roof of the jeepney (we call it TOP LOAD) meaning we sit on top of the Jeepney and we will just hold on the railings for support so we wont fall down when we the car start going ZigZag!

I am thrilled and happy and excited. Just like when we were kids. We are all waiting for special occasions like this so we could all go swimming in the rivers or sometimes in some resorts.

When we reached the said resort I didn't believe myself. It was really developed. The water is free flowing and so it is relaxing. Water is a little bit warm maybe because it has come from a warmer source or the weather is just warm. hahaha

After we parked... All the kids already went off the pool and started swimming. It was so nice seeing this kids so happy.

While the children are so happily swimming. We went picture taking.

Everyone has their own poses and everyone are photogenic in their own rightful way.

And so this end's my visit in Lepanto for 2012! I hope I could make it again on 2013! lol
