The Mount Pulag Expedition

If you are planning to do mountaineering I am totally suggesting you try Mount Pulag. Since Mount Pulag is the second highest mountain in the Philippines please expect that temperature there could go to as low as -5 degrees Celsius.

Also, please make sure to listen to your tour guide.

To preserve the beauty of the place here are some rules that we need to follow:

  1. Bring thick clothes and appropriate camping gear.
  2. Do not pick wild flowers, bonsai plants, or even animals that you see around the mountain. It is great to see these wonders of nature but they are only as good for taking picture and not bringing them home.
  3. Bring back your garbages. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GARBAGE IN THE MOUNTAIN. I also suggest that we don't burn our garbages in the mountain.
  4. Be a responsible back packers.

Save The Majestic Mount Pulag

The farms are now slowly creeping up the majestic Mount Pulag. Farmers are slowly taking over the said paradise. It is good that we have farmers who tills the land so we could have vegetable on our table. It also means an economic stability to our farmer.

I hope that we spare this mountain from the kaingin and farming to provide habitat to our trees, flowers, and animals.

The Majestic Mount Pulag

The beauty of the Philippines lies on the beautiful natural resources. The Philippines scenic and crystal clear sea water of its majestic beaches to the proud and powerful mountains of the north.

It is my long time dream to travel to the second highest mountain in the Philippines, "Mount Pulag" but due to time constraint and luck of resources it remains to be a dream.

Luckily, my Uncle Robert of Department of Agriculture, Cordillera shared his photos in their trip to the said mountain.

I am still a mega fan of green vegetation of our vast and wonderful mountains. It is the heart and lungs of the Philippine society. It is the backbone of the Filipinos.
